I'll be signing copies of my book Monster Spotter's Guide to North America, as well as copies of the Writer's Book of Matches at the Mad Anthony Writer's Conference/Book Festival in Hamilton, OH (on April 26. If you're in the area, please come check it out. The signing is from 1:30-4:30 p.m. and I believe it is free. The Writer's Conference itself does cost some, but seems to be pretty affordable--a nice chance to meet authors, agents and editors. Keynote speakers include Hallie Ephron and Lori Foster.

WELCOME FRIEND
Hi. My name is Scott.
A few years ago I started a literary journal with some friends of mine. It was named Fresh Boiled Peanuts, and it was awesome. We managed to produce three issues of our journal before my friends gradually left, some of them scattering to cooler cities than the one we started in.
I'm still here.
FBP, as it came to be known (by us, and our handful of readers and authors), lives on. It lives on through the three issues, which are available on Amazon. It lives on in projects, not yet realized. And it lives on here, through this blog.
In the same spirit that my friends and I created FBP the journal, I am creating this blog. I hope you'll read about our past ventures, be interested in new things I plan on publishing, and maybe even pick up a copy of FBP (let's optimistically call the collection "volume one").
Mostly, I hope you enjoy the blog. I'm likely to post anything. Stay tuned.
AVAILABLE
ISSUE 1: our inagural issue... stories about meteors, carnivals, hipsters and more
ISSUE 2: stories of guardian angels, mysterious black holes, and the wisdom of children
ISSUE 3: experience good and evil, clandestine meetings, secret recipes and fluffy bunny feet
