This Weekend
This weekend I'll be at the Mad Anthony Book Festival in Hamilton, OH from 1:30-4:30 signing copies of Monster Spotter's Guide to North America and Writer's Book of Matches. If you're in the area please stop by and say hi.
My wife made me some nifty flyers. Check 'em out.
Also, I have a new blog at my day job that discusses Marketing for Writers. Check it out: http://blog.writersdigest.com/mword/

Bull by the Horns
Freedom of choice, you decide what you want today:
Renew your qualification?
Make your lady happy?
Your high school teacher nude?
Guess what happens next…
Your life.

Poetr-e Posts
My friend (and former FBP editor) Alice had the idea of creating poetry using subject lines from all of her spam. It was one of my favorite ideas that we kicked around at our morning FBP meetings (usually held over coffee and bear claws).
We never actually got around to creating any, but recently I started trying to write an "e-poem" a day to try to get myself into a more creative frame of mind in the mornings.
I plan on making these poems a regular feature on this blog starting today.
(thanks to Alice for inspiring this idea... hope you're not mad that I stole it...)
